![]() ![]() I take relatively good care of them, applying mink oil a few times each year. They're still mostly water proof and the soles are down to about 40%.Īll 3 of these are Chinese made. My current pair are showing their age and will probably last me only one more season out here in the Rocky Mountains. My second pair I tore the sole clean off after only 3 months. I still wear them for riding my motorcycle. The uppers are still in good shape though - broken in, soft, and comfy. I travel up and down sharp metal ramps all day long. My first pair I wore most of the tread off the soles. ![]() I've been wearing RW for 7 years now and I'm on my 3rd pair. In summary, 300 dollars for boots, 150 dollars of care products, for 3 months of service and no warranty. So, unless somehow you bought the boot with it having a large portion missing, if it shits out on you even within six months, which is WAY too fast for a 300 boot, (and both my pairs did.) You're fucked.Īnd if you even are under warranty, it won't matter, because the flagship stores reaaaally don't like taking questions. The warranty is only about six months for one, and they'll only exchange for "manufacturing defects". Which isn't even to speak of the shitty service they give if you have problems or confusion. I've spent probably over 150 dollars on leather product, finish, tuff toe, and various other products to keep the boot in good condition. There's a single puny bar of dryness on my sock, flanked by wet, miserable patches.Īnd I've babied the FUCK out of these things. unfortunately, the waterproofing over, around, and above the to simply doesn't work or isn't there. Allegedly, they had gortex for waterproofing of course. I got a pair of "sturdy" leather outdoorsman's boots, waterproof with a strong shank, for working in welands and a tree nursery. I cannot even begin to describe how fed up I am with this company.įor one the boots are garbage. I've owned two pairs now and the waterproofing has gone out on both. ![]()
